Our Big Kindergartener!

Aiden started Kindergarten last week! When he had a primary assessment in the spring and was asked to go into the classroom with the other kids and teachers but no parents, he had a mini-meltdown, so I was pretty nervous about this fall, but he did great!

He is going to the same elementary school I went to “a few years ago”… but I don’t think a single person on staff when I was there is still there… shocking…

Family friends from church whom we’ve known for years have a little boy Aiden’s age. They went to Preschool together, and now they are in the same kindergarten class, which Aiden is very excited about.

When we were both home from school, I asked him how his first day of school was, and he replied “It was AWESOME!”

Here’s hoping he will continue to love school and have a great year!

Whenever she decides to come, we’re ready (ish, ha). We bought a minivan last week, so we have room for all three car seats. Aiden is in LOVE with the van.

Congratulations Sarah & Brandon!

We were happy to be able to attend Sarah’s wedding to Brandon in Denver this past weekend and to see lots of Snow family! It was wonderful to all be together to celebrate such a happy occasion.

Oahu

We spent time on Oahu with my parents, brother, sister, brother-in-law, niece, uncle and aunt. We stayed in a house on the beach together for most of the trip, and it was so relaxing to be able to hang out in the front room when the kids were in bed or to take turns hanging out with Aiden on the beach (his favorite thing) and to eat breakfast in our jammies if we wanted and just to have the time to get caught up when we weren’t out doing something else.

We visited the Lyon Arboretum, Byodo-In Temple, the Polynesian Cultural Center, various lookouts & beaches, the Sea Life Park, Kualoa Ranch, the Dole Pineapple Plantation, Pearl Harbor, and the temple. We ate lots of good food and generally just enjoyed our warm vacation.

Isaac was so unabashed, they gave him a solo to amuse everyone in the crowd at our luau.

The hand-holding was all Aiden’s idea. He cracks me up.
