This kid’s in Primary.

I know. Crazy.

He is loving it so far. He likes his teacher and seeing his friends. He likes the crown and other crafts he’s been making. He thinks it’s cool that he gets to see his older friends when he sits in Singing Time and Sharing Time.

*fingers crossed he’s doing a good job*

Swinging

We had to enjoy the seventy-degree weather by setting up Landon’s baby bucket seat in the backyard and letting him try it out. Aiden was game to show Landon how much fun it is to swing.

Teeth

Isaac made cookies, and we sat down to share a few as a family. Landon was sitting on my lap and started fussing. I looked down at him and asked, “Are you crying because you don’t have a cookie of your own? You can’t cry! You don’t have teeth, so you certainly can’t eat cookies!”

Aiden looked at me seriously and said, “Mom, don’t say that to Baby. You have to say happy things [when] he’s crying.”

He looked at Landon and said, “Someday you be big like me and get to eat cookies. And have teeth. Right?” and he smiled very big Open-mouthed smile

I found it kind of hilarious.

And then we went to Tennessee…

Early the morning after Christmas, we flew to Tennessee. The boys were so well-behaved, I still can’t believe my good fortune. Aiden was helpful and cheerful and listened well. Landon hardly made a peep. It was amazing.

All of Isaac’s siblings were able to meet at his parents’ for the holidays. Aiden saw all six of his cousins, including two we hadn’t met before. We even got to celebrate his cousin Nathan’s first birthday while there.

Isaac’s grandma Hanson, Uncle Denis, and Aunt Nora were there too, so we had quite the party.

It was wonderful to have everyone together.

Landon saw his first snow… although I don’t think it registered for him as much as for Aiden, who let Grandpa teach him how to put on gloves, threw snowballs with Daddy, and came running in to see me when he got cold.

We were all totally spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa. We baked cookies, and Aiden learned how to build with omagles.

We went to the park, played games at the house, raced, watched the BYU bowl game, and visited the Pink Palace Museum, which had an animatronic T-Rex. Aiden was excited to see it until he actually got there and heard a little child screaming in terror… and then he had to work through his own fear of the dinosaur.

We are so grateful to everyone who made it possible for us to see so much family! Happy New Year!
