Happy Easter!

For Easter/Spring Break this year, my mom and I took the kids up to Seattle.

We were so excited to spend time with Mandy, Bryant, and Emma! Mom got the kids matching outfits for Easter, and they all looked very dapper.

We got to attend Mandy's ward and had an Easter egg hunt at her house. The boys were so excited to teach Emma about egg hunts... and they ended up just saying "Look, Emma! One of your eggs! I'll put it in your basket..."

We went to the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium while we were in WA. It was a very nice little zoo, and the kids had a blast.

Aiden (usually) says his favorite thing to see was the shark tank.

 These foxes were THE CUTEST.

Sorry I peed on your baby carrier, Auntie.

Emma's first carousel ride... she was not a fan...

The boys loved feeding the goats.

We had such a nice time all together and can't wait to see the Binghams again!

Aiden's Six

This kid turned six! He has been counting down until his birthday for a few weeks now.

He woke us up Sunday morning with "Mom! I'm six now!" For his birthday dinner, he requested rice, penne pasta with butter, rolls, Brussels sprouts, and asparagus. I made a fruit salad, and my mom cooked salmon to balance out those carbs and greens a little.

We did a quiet birthday this year with family, and he loved it (so did I). He was excited to get Pokemon, Star Wars cars, and a Leap Pad. He helped me bake his own blue cupcakes.

He loves Kindergarten and started speech therapy for his articulation recently. We're hoping to see him progress and feel less frustration due to people not understanding him.

Happy St. Patrick's Day from my little sweethearts.

Good in the World

Sometimes the news makes everything sound awful... theft and death and bullying and lame presidential candidates...

but I'm sure lucky to have such sweet kids to remind me of all the good in the world.

Six Months Old

Charlotte is such a happy baby, and everyone loves her giggle. The boys get giggly themselves when she laughs at something they're doing.

She exhibits a lot of focus for a baby. She will watch someone or something as long as it's moving, interactive, or interesting. When she's hungry, she's ready to EAT without distraction. When she's tired, she's happiest to be put in her crib and left alone to sleep without distraction. As long as we attend to her few needs, she's very happy.

She loves to be held and interacted with. She babbles at us. She gives BIG smiles to family.

She looks so much like her daddy to me.

At her six-month check-up, she was 14 lb. 1 oz. and 25" (about the 25th percentile).

She is learning to sit with little support, and she's starting to look like such a little person! She is good at holding things. She is showing interest in food and starting to try some basic food items and doing quite well so far.

Keep up the good work, Baby Girl!
