Disneyland!

We measured Aiden this summer and discovered that he is about 41 inches tall (almost 42 with shoes, but not quite), which meant that he was tall enough to ride all kinds of fun attractions at Disneyland. We went to WDW two years ago but hadn’t been to Disneyland here in CA for eight years, so we decided to spend a few days there.

My mom was nice enough to come too, and having an extra adult sure made it easier in a lot of ways and more fun to do ride swaps. Aiden was so excited to go that he didn’t sleep enough the night before and wouldn’t eat breakfast, so he had a rough mid-morning and early afternoon, but he was great the rest of the trip. Landon was peaceable the whole time and made us laugh by being completely fascinated by a ride or show and then falling asleep almost instantly when it was over.

I would say Aiden’s favorite part of the trip was Cars Land in CA Adventure Park, so we went there twice to let him get his fill. It is amazing to see the movie town of Radiator Springs life-size with real cars rolling down the street every so often.DSC_0637-2DSC_0641-5DSC_0643-7

Aiden’s favorite ride: Radiator Springs Racers:

The second day we spent at the original Disneyland Park, and Aiden got to go on Space Mountain (but he wasn’t a fan), Star Tours (which he also wasn’t a big fan of), Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (which he loved), Autopia (liked), and lots of other rides. Landon was happy to take everything in and eat. Aiden was not into meeting characters on this trip, which was sad for me, but I guess it’s not so bad to not have to wait in lines for that.

Landon’s favorite ride was definitely King Arthur’s Carousel. He did NOT want to let go after it was over.

On our last day, we hit a few things we’d missed (Splash Mountain, lots of Fantasy Land) and favorites (Cars Land, Toy Story).

We had a wonderful trip. I love Disney and think Disneyland can be fun for all ages, but it’s definitely way more fun to see it through a child’s eyes, and I’m so glad we could take our boys.
