Okay, so I went with something a little different than I had planned for the bathroom, but I like it.
Thanks to information and suggestions from Brooke and Sarah, we painted the cabinet and got some fun knobs. Thanks to my mom for color ideas and support in the paint aisle, where I felt like a fish out of water. Thanks to both my parents for helping me put the cabinet back up on the wall when we did not know what we were doing.
Here’s the new look:
I expected to understand a nearly two year old better, but we do okay even though I don’t know what he’s saying a lot of the time. Here are some of his recent attempts to communicate…
It’s just a few of us who understand him at all, isn’t it? (sigh)
This boy definitely has his daddy’s eyelashes.
It’s a good thing he’s so cute. Today I warned, “Don’t run away!” and he echoed “Run away!” and took off across the room.
Lucky he has those long lashes…
It must be cold.
When choosing clothes for the day this morning, Aiden picked out a Hawaiian outfit someone just gifted us.
Later, he asked me to help him put on another shirt and two sweaters. It was hilarious.
It only lasted about fifteen minutes before he was asking for help taking the extra layers off, but he sure got me laughing.
Disclaimer: Sophie looks scary in this photo, but I promise she was just licking her lips, wishing Aiden would drop his cookie for her.
We celebrated New Years with risotto and Ticket to Ride. My parents and sister all tied, lol.
Here’s how I know it’s going to be a good year though: I beat Isaac. All things are possible!!!
Only by a few points, but it still counts. (He usually whoops me.)
Bring on 2012!
