Isaac and Charlotte got to see Landon’s preschool Christmas performance. He was a donkey.
Aiden’s last day of school was Thursday, 12/21, and mine was Friday, so we really felt like we went right up to Christmas. It was hard in that December is so busy, but it’s so relaxing now to know that we have another week off after New Year’s. We loved having church with the musical program on Christmas Eve. Both boys sang with the Primary choir, and both Isaac and I sang in the ward choir, and my mom graciously kept Charlotte (and the boys) in line during the meeting.
Christmas Eve dinner was at Mom and Dad’s house with lots of Anderson family.
Christmas morning we had breakfast with Mom’s side of the family and then had a lazy day at home. The kids loved playing with their new toys and each other, and it’s been a peaceful few days without too much on the schedule. Isaac has been busy studying for the first part of the CPA exam, and I have been trying to grade papers and get my classroom organized (I never have time to do everything I want to in the one week I have my keys before school starts in August when I also have meetings to attend). The kids have been good sports and are enjoying more time with everyone home together.
As a side note, this was the first year I had a proper mantle on which to put our nativity and to hang our stockings, and I was pretty excited about that.
