Planes Party

Aiden requested a planes party for his birthday. He got to have a few friends over to make birthday crowns, run an obstacle course, build and fly gliders, decorate plane sugar cookies, bust open a piƱata (which proved more difficult than anticipated), and get balloon airplanes courtesy of Aiden’s Grandma Anderson. He had a lot of fun.

and one of the babies… Jade is almost 5 months older, but Landon is over the 97th percentile for a four-month-old, and Jade is petite for 9 months, so they don’t look so different to me.

A is FOUR

We spent Aiden’s birthday doing what sounded fun to him, which meant time outside on the slide, playing with cars, making glow-stick necklaces, and reading books.

He requested corn, rice, and green beans for dinner.

He was very excited about getting a new “lion” BYU shirt from Auntie and Bry, and when bedtime came, he didn’t want to take it off.

“Landon” gave him a few planes, and it was awhile before anything or anyone else could capture his attention again.

Landon was very peaceable and seemed to be taking it all in. He could hardly be convinced to nap all day.

He asked for ice cream with M&Ms for dessert… and he ate about two bites before he wanted to play with planes and read books.

He can hardly wait to play with his outside toys once the sun is up again. He seems a little ambiguous in his feelings about being four, saying he’s excited because he goes to Primary but sad because he liked being three and a half.

Lately

Not much new here. Isaac is working two part-time jobs, getting some accounting experience and still putting in time at the restaurant. I’m coordinating the district writing assessment, putting out fires, and getting ready to interview kids who want to be in my yearbook/newspaper class next year. Aiden is quickly approaching his fourth birthday and can hardly wait. Landon is trying solid foods, smiling and laughing more freely, and melting hearts.
