We took a day trip to Monterey as a family. It was hot in Fremont… but not in Monterey. It was about 58 degrees at the beach, but the kids enjoyed playing in the sand anyway.
When they started to look a little blue, we packed up and went to the visitor’s center and a little park away from the ocean winds where they could run around and warm up a little.
We walked around Fisherman’s Wharf and got ice cream at Ghirardelli, and everyone was very happy. (It’s never too cold for ice cream.) Two of them fell asleep on the way home, so I’d say they had a good day!
The boys had a night out with Isaac and Grandpa to see an A’s game. It was their first MLB game, and they were VERY excited to wear their A’s shirts and see a baseball game! They were doubly excited to see the Witches and Wizards fireworks show at the end.

58 degrees sounds great! But probably not at the beach.
Looks like everyone was having fun.
