We went up Tahoe for the long weekend, and it was so nice! It makes me even more anxious for summer and more time to spend with this face:
We met up with my parents and siblings, and we all just had a relaxing weekend away.
I was very bad about taking pictures on our trip, but here’s one of all the boys surrounded by dirt and pine trees and sun. It was a beautiful weekend.
I also loved seeing flags on our way home on Memorial Day. Sometimes I feel like patriotism isn’t as prevalent as it used to be or as it probably should be, but I sure am grateful to be an American. I am grateful for the liberties we enjoy and take for granted. I am proud of the veterans in my family and thankful to all the men and women who support our country and who have fought to uphold our freedoms over the years.
Happy Memorial Day to all!

Sounds like a great weekend. The flags reminded me of something we did with the kids while they were little. Every time we passed an American flag we would sing "You're a Grand Old Flag." That would be a lot of singing on your drive.
We started singing the same with Obie & Adie to occupy them one day and now it is an entrenched tradition. They both know the song by heart now. And we have learned to sing it really fast!
I love that tradition!
