37 days and counting

I'm feeling pretty squished and can hardly believe we still have five weeks to go. At the same time, I can hardly believe there are only five weeks to go until D-day.

an updated photo from a week and a half-ish ago, per someone's request

We still have so much to do before our little guy's arrival, but we're sure excited. I'm counting down the days I still have of work (23) and trying to get everything ready for a sub to take my leave while still getting my normal things done for grades that are due Thursday. Doing double duty now is going to make it nice to not think about school for a few months. Isaac is working crazy hours and managing to stay healthy, positive and exceptionally helpful. Hopefully I'm not driving him too crazy. :)

Ultrasound

We had the ultrasound today per my doctor's recommendation because I measured small at my last appointment.

All good news! The baby is in the 30th percentile, which is nowhere near the 10th, which is where they worry, fluid levels are good, and from what they could see, his organs looked fine. They said he will probably be just shy of 7 pounds, and I wouldn't be upset if he took after his daddy in that regard! He is also still definitely a boy. Good to know I don't have a girl on the way with a bunch of blue stuff in that room...

They gave us several pictures of his face, which they said was cute (probably in an attempt to keep us from worrying about how his nose and lips look huge because he kept squishing his face up to the wand), so there are a few. :)

7 months

We can hardly believe there are only two more months until the baby is due. I feel huge even though my tummy measured "two weeks small" this week. We are going in for a growth scan some time in the next few weeks to see how he's doing, but I wouldn't be too upset if they said he was fine but a little small. Isaac was only 6 lbs. 14 oz., after all (quite a bit smaller than I was at 8 lbs. 7.5 oz.).

Alongside my burgeoning baby bump, this is the super soft polar bear my mom picked up for the baby's room since we are doing a "baby arctic animals" theme... it IS a Snow baby, after all.
